PRESCHOOL LEVEL

            The province of Compostela Valley through the Department of Education has implemented pre-elementary school program for children 6 years old and below. Sixty-five public elementary schools provincewide in coordination with the Parent-Teacher Community Association (PTCA) have afforded classrooms and teachers to hold classes for pre-schoolers. It has a total of 82 pre-elementary school classes with a total of 2,661 enrollees as of school year 2006-2007.

           Of the 11 municipalities in the province, only Maragusan District has no public school program for pre-schoolers, however it has two private schools for pre-schoolers.
